My Day on Campus

I got up very late on Tuesday, and the day began after lunch. Everything was so dull because of the early bleak winter coming with days of chill wind and cold rain. Unfortunately as well, one has to be present at the boring classes after more than a decade of lessons in China, even if it is only for academic scores. But a popular lesson may come suddenly as a boy with mischievous smile while you are absent-minded.
It was the course of English writing and the teacher was full of liveliness. He started with some simple words in slow, measured cadences and his voice was so loud that the deaf would be waken up when he was asleep. Moreover, he even took a packet of sweets as prize awarded for students who answered his questions actively and correctly, in order to draw much more attention.
We were all absorbed in his pronunciation but the quiet was disrupted by gales of laughter at times. What a pity that there was few active answers in spite of his more and more encouragement. He had to call somebody for answering to go ahead in such an awkward situation. But another peal of titter bursted out ahead of all when he called an unregistered student fortunately. What’s more interesting was that, a student told out the fact actively and his name was chosen at random as well. Although he had no preparation, he got two candies due to his perfect answer.
Other audience might keep silent in inner conflicts to the end. Although the teacher didn’t get much success, he brought a lively lesson in giggles and I was excited all day long subsequently. May fight all for two sweets when see next time.
