Affiliate Marketing is an Internet-based marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate’s marketing efforts. It is an application of crowdsourcing.

Affiliate marketing is basically a way for you to make money from other people’s products by simply refering people to the designated site. The product owner takes care of the costumer, closes the sale and pays you.
You have to decide what kind of affiliate products you want to promote. Maybe you’ll want to promote something that interests you or simply something that pays well.
When you decide what niche you want to be involved in and what kind of products you want to promote, then it’s time to find the affiliate programs that have a quality product and a good compesation plan. With affiliate marketing all you need to do is find a product you want to promote, set up a free blog using a service like blogger to promote the product and then start driving traffic to your blog. Thats it. No need to spend any money on anything when you are first starting out. That is also another thing I love about affiliate marketing. You can get started without spending a dime of your money.
Of course if you have money you can invest in things such as pay per click advertising but you really don’t need to do that to start making money. You drive traffic to your site by using article marketing which by the way is one of the best ways to get traffic. The only investment is your time.
